Different Terms
There are many different terms when it comes to learning about prose terminology. The most common ones are puns, jargon, metaphors, similies, and many others.

Puns
When a word is used in a way that highlights "two or more of its meanings or the meaning of another word with a similar sound", it usually is ironic in tone and intended to be humorous. Ex. "It's raining cats and dogs, so don't step in a poodle!"
